JetCover Travel Insurance is a travel insurance product underwritten by American Home Assurance Company, Singapore (AHAC), a member of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), one of the leading travel insurance providers in the world.
Travel insurance protects you while you're traveling abroad for unexpected events like accidents, lost travel documents and delayed flights.
JetCover is designed with Jetstar passengers' specific needs in mind. Convenient and affordable, it is exclusively available through jetstar.com and can only be purchased as part of your Jetstar flight booking.
How do I buy JetCover Travel Insurance?
While booking your Singapore-originating flight on jetstar.com, simply select Add Travel Insurance in the Passenger Details section to get an automatic quote. Your insurance premium is automatically added into the total price of your Jetstar itinerary. Once you complete your jetstar.com purchase, you'll get an instant confirmation online!
Who is eligible for JetCover Travel Insurance?
To be eligible for JetCover Travel Insurance you must be:
• 75 years old or below • Traveling from Singapore • Traveling for 30 days or less
Note that infants traveling with an insured adult are automatically included in the policy for free!
What kinds of JetCover Travel Insurance Plans are available?
There are two types of JetCover Plans available for eligible Jetstar travelers:
• JetCover's Round-Trip Plan Covers you for round-trip itineraries including the time spent at your country of destination and until you return to Singapore from your trip.
• JetCover's One-Way Plan Covers you for one-way itineraries; from the time you check-in to the time you reach your country of destination.
When do JetCover Travel Insurance policies begin and end?
JetCover Round-Trip Plans begin upon check-in for Jetstar departure flights from Singapore and ends upon the return to Singapore .
JetCover One-Way Plans begin upon check-in for Jetstar departure flights from Singapore and ends upon arrival at the Jetstar flight's country of destination.
Note that the Trip Cancellation Benefit is effective 30 days before the original departure date.

What benefits are included with JetCover Travel Insurance?

- Jetstar Flight Delay Benefit covers you for rescheduled Jetstar flights by compensating you financially for the time you spend waiting.
- Jetstar Flight Cancellation & Interruption Benefits cover the non-refundable portion of your Jetstar ticket if you have to cancel or shorten your trip because of insurable reasons such as death in the family or serious injury.
- Accident & Sickness Medical Benefits cover you for accidents or sickness during your trip by reimbursing your medical bills (up to S$20,000); through cash payments in case you're confined in a hospital overseas; and by helping you get back home to your loved ones. These benefits are available for Round-Trip Plans only.
- Loss of Travel Documents Benefit reimburses the cost of replacing your lost passport, visa or Jetstar flight ticket. This benefit is available for Round-Trip Plans only.
- Baggage & Personal Effects Benefit covers loss or damage to your luggage while you are traveling on Jetstar.
- 24-hr Emergency Medical Assistance Benefit is a service provided by International SOS for 24/7 assistance in the event of a medical emergency.
Do JetCover's Accident & Sickness Medical Benefit include treatment upon return to Singapore ?
Yes, it does! If medical treatment is received overseas, the Insured can continue medical treatment upon their return to Singapore up to the limit specified by JetCover or 30 days whichever is earlier.
Does JetCover's Baggage Damage and Loss Benefits include theft?
Yes, JetCover includes baggage theft and damage to baggage due to theft during a scheduled Jetstar flight.
Does JetCover's Trip Cancellation & Interruption Benefits give refunds for cancelled/shortened trips due to any reason?
JetCover only refunds the non-refundable portion of a Jetstar fare when the trip is cancelled or shortened because of a valid insurable event such as serious sickness or death in the family.
Does JetCover continue to be in effect if I leave the original country of destination?
JetCover is designed to cover your Jetstar trip; because of this, it will only cover you while you're in your original country of destination.
JetCover will continue to cover you as you travel domestically within the country on land or sea. Any air travel on non-Jetstar flights is excluded.

Can JetCover be added to an itinerary even if the passenger has a pre-existing condition?
Yes, JetCover can be added to a Jetstar itinerary even if the passenger has a pre-existing condition. However, the policy will not cover the specific pre-existing condition of the Insured although they can continue to fully enjoy the other benefits included.
A Pre-Existing Medical Condition shall mean any condition for which the Insured Person received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation or prescribed drugs within a 12-month period preceding the effective date of the Policy; or for which medical advice or treatment was recommended by a Qualified Medical Practitioner within a 12-month period preceding the effective date of the Policy.

How can I have my JetCover Policy Certificate resent to my e-mail address?
If you did not receive our Confirmation E-mail with your JetCover Policy Certificate, simply e-mail us your Policy Number (if available), Full Name, Flight Booking Number, Travel Dates, Date of Purchase and E-mail Address and we'll resend your Policy Certificate.
In addition, you don't need to bring a copy of your Policy Certificate on your trip. All you need is your Certificate Number and our 24-hour Emergency Assistance Hotline +65 6338 6200 (for Round-Trip plans only).
How can I cancel my JetCover Policy to get a refund?
JetCover Travel Insurance Policies are non-cancelable and non-refundable.
What kinds of changes are allowed under my JetCover Policy?
Your JetCover One-Way Plan cannot be changed once it is purchased.
Your JetCover Round-Trip Plan allows for non-financial changes to your policy made in conjunction with a change to your Jetstar itinerary. This rule applies for changes made before or during your trip.
Please notify AHAC with your itinerary change by sending us an e-mail with your Policy Number, Name, Original Travel Dates/Duration & Amended Travel Dates/Duration.
Note that:
- If you are shortening your trip, JetCover will not provide you any refunds to differences in premium.
- If you are extending your trip, JetCover will only cover you up to the maximum duration in respect of the original date band for which you purchased your policy.
- If your trip is extended past your original date band, you will continue to be covered on your Jetstar Return Flight to Singapore upon check-in.

ABOUT YOUR JETCOVER CLAIMS
What should I do if I encounter an accident or get sick abroad?
Please call our 24-hour Emergency Assistance Hotline (+65 6338 6200) to get proper assistance. You can call the hotline collect to avoid any long-distance charges.
How does JetCover pay for my overseas medical expenses?
AHAC will directly reimburse you for any covered medical expenses abroad. Please make sure you keep the original copies of your receipts when you return to Singapore to make processing of your refund easier.
How do I file for a claim on my JetCover Policy?
Our Notice of Claim Form is available for download online. Detailed instructions on how to file a claim are included in the form. Please note that you have to notify AHAC of your claim within 30 days of the claimable event.
How long does it take to process my claims?
AHAC will process your claims within 14 days of the date of complete submission and receipt of all required documents.
