  • 1. Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • 6. Hong Kong Dollars (HKD)
  • 2. US Dollars (USD)
  • 7. Singapore Dollars (SGD)
  • 3. Euros (EUR)
  • 8. Canadian Dollars (CAD)
  • 4. Great British Pounds (GBP)
  • 9. Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • 5. New Zealand Dollars (NZD)

What happens if I don’t have enough money in my wallet?

When you have not loaded the currency of the country you are using your card in one of the wallets
There is no need to worry if you do not have enough funds in the currency of the country that you are in as the Jetstar Travel Card will automatically take the funds from one of your other wallets so long as you have enough funds in one of your other wallets. The order in which the funds are taken are as follows: Australian Dollars (AUD), US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), Great British Pounds (GBP), New Zealand Dollars (NZD), Hong Kong Dollars (HKD), Singapore Dollars (SGD), Canadian Dollars (CAD) and Japanese Yen (JPY).

Say for example you are in South Africa and your card is loaded with New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). Any transaction on your card will automatically use whatever currency is highest in the currency order and convert them to South African Rand. In this situation, your New Zealand Dollars will be used to pay for the transaction. Note that a currency conversion fee will apply as the South African Rand is not offered.

Note the full transaction amount needs to be converted from one wallet only. This means the transaction will be declined if you do not have enough in any one single wallet to cover the transaction, even if the combined total balance of all your wallets is enough to cover the transaction.
When you do not have enough in the local currency, but have enough in another currency to cover the transaction.
Say you pay for a meal in London and you do not have enough Great British Pounds to cover the bill but enough Australian Dollars. Instead of declining the transaction, we will convert the amount in Australian Dollars to Great British Pounds to cover your bill. A currency conversion fee will not apply as Australian Dollars are offered by us.

Note the full transaction amount needs to be converted from one wallet only. This means the transaction will be declined if you do not have enough in any one single wallet to cover the transaction, even if the combined total balance of all your wallets is enough to cover the transaction.
When a fee applies (e.g. card replacement)
When a fee applies it will be charged to the currency which is highest in your default currency order, with the exception of certain transaction fees. For those transaction fees, there will need to be sufficient funds in a single wallet for the transaction value plus the fee for the transaction to be successful. “For the full list of applicable fees and how they will be debited from your Card balance, please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement
