Arrive on time
To reach your destination on time, the plane must leave on schedule. So our check-in opens 2 hours prior to departure and closes 40 minutes before take-off. Do allow sufficient time to travel to the airport and check in. To be on the safe side, we recommend you get to the airport at least 2 hours before departure. After all, we do not want you to miss your flight.
In the unlikely event that you arrive after the check-in has closed, you will not be able to board the plane and will automatically forfeit the cost of the fare. No refunds or transfers are available, so please be on time.
Don't forget your passport or visa
At all times it is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure they travel with correct and appropriate documentation. In addition, all children and infants travelling with an adult require their own passport or should be registered in either of their parent's passport. You must ensure you have applicable visas and all other necessary travel documents.
As a guideline it is suggested that passport validity extends pass 6 months. Prove of onward or return travel at time of checkin and where required a valid visa is obtained for the country of stay prior to checking.
Assigned seats
When you fly with Jetstar Asia or Valuair, there is no need to jostle for your seats. Seats will be assigned upon check-in so you can be assured of a hassle-free flight.

Some people require extra or special attention. Generally we recommend that they travel with someone accompanying them, unless of course they can travel independently.
An accompanying passenger is someone who can travel alone and can attend to the needs of another person. There are few exceptions to this rule so please contact our call centre for further information.
Although we do not have the staff or facilities to care for passengers needing special assistance, we provide limited assistance if you are hearing impaired or use a wheelchair. Please be advised that additional charges may be applied. For further information on the services provided please direct all enquiries to our call center. We also cater to those people who need more than one seat to themselves. If you need any of these services, please make your booking through our call centre.
