Checking in

To help you arrive at your destination on schedule, you must be checked-in for your flight on time. To make the process as simple and convenient as possible, we now offer a range of check-in options. For domestic flights, check-in before you arrive at the airport by using our web check-in or auto web check-in service, printing your boarding pass and bringing it to the airport. If you'd rather check-in at the airport, use our state-of-the-art kiosks and avoid the queues, or visit one of our Jetstar check-in counters.

Boarding with QR on Jetstar

Jetstar Japan is giving its customers even more choice for travel by offering the ability to use the revolutionary QR boarding pass technology each time they travel. QR boarding pass check-in is only available for Domestic Japan bookings.

Registering and receiving QR

Register for QR by:

Selecting automatic check-in through the booking process online at Jetstar.com, you will then receive a confirmation email, follow the directions and check in to receive your QR boarding pass.

Checking in online within 48hrs prior to flight departure.

Receive your QR:

You will receive a single QR boarding pass, to which you will need to present when at the airport.

Option 1
Group QR for all the passengers

One group boarding pass will be issued for all passengers. You will be able to select the email you want the QR to be sent to during the booking and check-in process.

Option 2
Single QR for each passenger

Each passenger receives a single QR boarding pass. For this option, you must specify each passenger's individual email address.

  1. If you have already checked in, go straight to security and show your QR boarding pass and clear security;
  2. Proceed to the gate, during boarding staff will scan your QR boarding pass which will print your paper boarding pass;
  3. Take your paper boarding pass to the plane to board your flight.

Important

Carry-on baggage dimentions

Please make sure your carry-on baggage is within the dimensions shown and does not weigh more than 10kg in total.

If you bag exceeds these limits, you will have to check it in at least 30mins prior to departure and fees may apply.

Narita Airport
  1. Arrive at the Jetstar external bag drop (temporarily located outside terminal 2 on level 1)
  2. Mobile staff will scan your QR boarding pass and attach your bag tags;
  3. Drop off all bags at the baggage bag drop and head to the departure gate;
  4. Head to security show your paper boarding pass and clear security;
  5. Proceed to the Gate, during boarding staff will scan your QR boarding pass which will print your paper boarding pass;
  6. Take your paper boarding pass to the plane to board your flight.
All other Airports
  1. Arrive at the Jetstar check-in area;
  2. Scan your QR boarding pass face up at the Jetstar Kiosk in the check-in area;
  3. If travelling in a group, select each passenger, one by one on the touch screen;
  4. Select the number of bags you are checking in and print bag tags;
  5. Print and collect all boarding passes and attach bag tags to your bags;
  6. Drop off all bags at the Jetstar Bag Drop and head to the departure gate;
  7. Head to security and show your paper boarding pass;
  8. Once security is cleared head to the gate, show your paper boarding pass and board the flight.

Important

You must check-in bags and collect boarding passes at least 30 mins before departure otherwise you not be able to board your flight.
