Jetstar’s product offerings are aimed to meet the ever changing needs of your customers. Whether your customer needs just the basics, or full flexibility, Jetstar has the right fare type for you. With the ability to book mixed itineraries, choice and flexibility are always ensured. For example, customers can choose to book a Starter Fare one way and a Starter Max on the return. Our hassle free product and service offering will allow your customers to:

  • Check in online (domestic and selected international) or via airport kiosks to avoid airport queues (Domestic only)
  • Select extra room or upfront seating to increase comfort and be the first off the plane.
  • Purchase food, drink and entertainment on board.
  • Be taken care of with our award winning on board service.
  • Receive advanced SMS notifications in the event of a delay of more than 30 minutes or cancellation, before check-in (subject to Jetstar receiving correct customer mobile phone numbers and having advanced knowledge of the delay or cancellation).
  • Be rewarded for their loyalty when travelling on an eligible fare by accumulating Qantas Frequent Flyer points*
  • Access to Qantas Club Lounges where available (Qantas Club members and Business Max passengers only), to relax, access complimentary food & beverage and find a quiet place to rest 

* Qantas Frequent Flyer points are limited to eligible fare types on Jetstar Airways (JQ), and Jetstar Asia (3K). You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program to earn points and Status Credits. A joining fee may apply.

Remuneration

To be eligible for remuneration, you must be located in Australia, Taiwan, Indonesia or the USA and be a registered agent with Jetstar:

  • Jetstar remunerates you via Gross Fares.
  • Once configured for Gross Fares, all bookings made via the Trade Site and API attract remuneration.
  • GDS and Call centre bookings are not remunerable.
  • Gross fares attract a fixed remuneration per passenger segment sold as per the table below.
  • Remuneration is determined by the base currency the fare is sold in (e.g. an agent in New Zealand selling an AUD fare will receive AUD$10 per passenger segment sold via the travel agent’s website. This amount will be converted to NZD at time of payment.)
  • Remuneration amounts may change from time to time so please check back for updates.

* Domestic – Domestic Flights are flights that depart and arrive within the same country that operate on either an A320 or A321 aircraft.

^ International – Long Haul International Flights are international flights that operate on an A330 aircraft.

Registration

It’s easy to register your agency with Jetstar and you don’t need to be IATA approved!

To register you will need the following information

  • IATA accredited agents: Please use your IATA,TIDS or DAPA number in the application process
  • Non IATA approved agents: Jetstar will create a unique organisational code for you
  • Contact information: Our primary means of communicating with you will be via email. We will use your email address to send monthly reporting (if requested) and communicate important announcements.
  • Travel agency license number (if you are required to hold a license in your country).
  • Name of your GDS provider (if applicable).
  • Australian based travel agencies must provide an Australian Business Number (ABN); and New Zealand based agencies must provide a Goods and Services Tax Number (GST Number).
  • Bank account details: If requested, please provide details of your bank account (including BSB, Bank and Branch details, Account Name, Account Number, and bank address).

Once your registration has been submitted, please allow up to five business days for Jetstar to process your request. Once your account has been activated you will receive a notification from Jetstar via email.
