Jetstar offers our passengers exclusive use of two fantastic Lounges. The Gold Coast Lounge located at Gold Coast Airport, and the Ākarana Lounge located at Auckland Airport, New Zealand. Lounge access can be pre-purchased when booking your flight online, or by calling Jetstar Reservations. We are also pleased to offer lounge access free of charge for passengers travelling on StarClass or for children 6 years or under.

Q. Where is the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. Gold Coast Airport, Gold Coast QLD.

Q. What are the opening hours?
A. The Gold Coast Lounge opens 45 minutes prior to the first scheduled Jetstar flight departure and closes at the boarding call of the last scheduled Jetstar flight departure, each day. If the last scheduled departure is delayed the lounge will stay open until the last boarding call of the flight.

Q. Is the Gold Coast Lounge open to all Gold Coast passengers?
A. No, the Gold Coast Lounge is available exclusively to Jetstar domestic and international passengers departing from the Gold Coast and access is only available on the day of travel.

Q. How do I purchase entry into the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. All Jetstar passengers departing from Gold Coast airport can purchase entry to the Gold Coast Lounge. You can purchase entry when you make your booking at www.jetstar.com, or through the call centre on 131 538.

If you decide to use the lounge after you have booked your travel, you can contact Jetstar Reservations on 131 538 any time up to the day before your flight to purchase lounge access. Or, you can also purchase entry on the day of your travel at lounge reception.

Business Max passengers who are departing from Gold Coast airport receive complimentary Gold Coast Lounge access on the day of their Business Class travel. Business passengers can add lounge access to their fare for a fee.

Q. Do I need to have a Jetstar flight booking to pre-purchase entry to the lounge?
A. You cannot pre-purchase lounge access without a Jetstar flight booking. Lounge access can only be pre-purchased via the web at the time of booking, or via the call centre on 131 538 after having made a flight booking, up until the day before departure.

Q. What is the entry price to the new Gold Coast Lounge?
A. The Gold Coast Lounge costs $9.99 pre-purchased (before travel) from Jetstar.com or the call centre on 131 538, or $15.00 at the door.

Business Max passengers and children six years and under are admitted free of charge.

Q. What do I get when I purchase entry to the Gold Coast Lounge?

A. The entry fee entitles you access to all of the Gold Coast Lounge facilities, including the range of food and beverages, internet connectivity and other entertainment.

A. The Gold Coast Lounge is located through security in the domestic departure lounge at Gold Coast Airport, on the Gold Coast. Both international and domestic Jetstar passengers can access the lounge, as they go through the same security point.

Q. Are staff available to supervise children in the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. No. All children in the Gold Coast Lounge under 18 years will need to be supervised by a guardian aged 18 or over, at all times.

Q. Are there shower facilities in the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. No. There are bathroom facilities but no showers in the lounge.

Q. Is there hot food available in the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. Yes, there will be a range of pies, sausage rolls, quiches and soup available at lunch and dinner times.

Q. Can I use my Qantas Frequent Flyer points towards entry?
A. No you cannot use your Qantas Frequent Flyer points towards entry.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of complimentary alcoholic beverages available per visit?
A. As with any other licensed premises, the Gold Coast Lounge is subject to responsible service of alcohol laws. By acknowledging the terms and conditions at the time of purchase, you agree to consume alcohol responsibly. Gold Coast Lounge staff may restrict visitors from consuming excess liquor and evict anyone that is intoxicated.

Q. Will someone let me know when it is time to board?

A. Yes, boarding announcements are made for all Jetstar departures affecting passengers in the Gold Coast Lounge. It is your responsibility, however, to ensure you leave with enough time to board your flight. Jetstar will not accept responsibility if you fail to board your flight on time, because you didn’t leave enough time to reach the departure gate from the Gold Coast Lounge.

Q. Are there plans to have further Lounges in other ports?

Q. If I arrive at the door of the Gold Coast Lounge, will I be guaranteed entry?
A. No, the Gold Coast Lounge is restricted to a maximum capacity of 120 people at any one time. Entry will be permitted provided the maximum capacity has not been reached. Appropriate behaviour must be adhered to at all times and Jetstar staff reserve the right to refuse entry.

Q. What happens if I have pre-paid for entry and the maximum capacity of the Gold Coast Lounge has been exceeded?
A. If you have pre-purchased Gold Coast Lounge access and you’re refused entry due to the maximum capacity being reached on your day of travel, Jetstar will refund the entry fee.

Q. How do I get a refund if denied entry due to overcapacity?
A. You will need to apply for a refund at the Gold Coast Lounge Reception desk at the time of your scheduled visit.

Q. Will I get a refund if I pre-pay but run out of time to visit the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. No. Refunds will only be provided if you have pre-paid your entry and the lounge reaches capacity at the time of your visit, if the lounge is closed during normal operating hours (e.g. due to works being conducted in the lounge), or if Jetstar moves your flight and as a result you are unable to use the lounge.

Q. Does anyone receive complimentary access?
A. Jetstar Business Max passengers departing from Gold Coast Airport receive complimentary access to the lounge. Children six years and under are also admitted for free.

Q. Can codeshare and interline passengers use the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. Anyone flying on a Jetstar flight departing from the Gold Coast airport can access the lounge.

Q. Can I check-in to my flight in the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. No. Passengers must first check-in at the check-in counter or, for domestic flights, via the web or kiosk, and must present their Jetstar boarding pass to gain access to the lounge.

A. Yes, domestic passengers can visit the lounge no earlier than two hours prior to their flight departure. International passengers can visit the lounge no earlier than three hours prior to their flight departure. A valid boarding pass must be displayed upon entry to the lounge.

Q. How long can I stay in the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. You are required to leave the Gold Coast Lounge at the final boarding call for your flight. If your flight is delayed you can make use of the Gold Coast Lounge until the final boarding call for your scheduled flight is made.

Q. Can I bring a guest or purchase a guest pass?
A. Access may be purchased at standard commercial rates for guests travelling on a Jetstar flight departing from Gold Coast airport, subject to standard conditions of entry.

Q. What is the dress code for the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. All visitors must be appropriately dressed and not present any offensive clothing. A shirt and shoes must be worn at all times.

Q. Can I access the Gold Coast Lounge if I am departing on any Jetstar flight from the Gold Coast?
A. Entry is available to Jetstar passengers departing from Gold Coast Airport who are:
• Starting their journey on a Jetstar domestic or Jetstar international flight.
• Connecting from a domestic flight to a Jetstar domestic flight.
• Connecting from a domestic flight to Jetstar international flight.

Due to international terminal restrictions, entry is not available to:
• Passengers connecting from an international flight to another international flight; or
• Passengers transiting through the international terminal.

Q. What is an example of a transit flight that restricts passengers from accessing the Gold Coast Lounge?
A. Passengers transiting through Gold Coast Airport on JQ20 (Kansai -Gold Coast -Sydney). The reason is that these passengers are in the international departures area and are separated from the lounge by customs and liquids, aerosols & gels (LAG’s) check areas (whilst transiting). Note, however, that domestic passengers joining this service at Gold Coast Airport (for the Sydney connection) can access the lounge but would need to leave the lounge 45 mins before departure to allow time to clear customs and liquids, aerosols & gels (LAG’s) checks. (since this is treated as an international flight).

Q. Can I access the Gold Coast Lounge if I am arriving into the Gold Coast on a Jetstar flight?
A. No, entry is not permitted for passengers arriving at Gold Coast airport as the destination on their Jetstar itinerary. Lounge access is only available for departing passengers.

Q. Is the Akarana Lounge open to all Auckland passengers?
A. No, the Akarana Lounge is available exclusively to Jetstar domestic passengers departing from the Auckland domestic terminal and access is only available on the day of travel. Passengers travelling on Jetstar international services departing from Auckland airport will not be able to use the lounge.

Q. How do I purchase entry into the Akarana Lounge?
A. All domestic passengers departing from Auckland airport can purchase entry to the Akarana Lounge. You can do this when you make you booking at www.jetstar.com or through the Reservations Centre on + 0800 800 995.
