Osaka
Did you know that Osaka is referred to as the food capital of Japan? It's the place to eat an Okonomiyaki — a large omelette with the lot! Situated at the mouth of the Yodo River, Osaka is one of the smallest regions in the country but its population is only second to Tokyo, the countries capital. Don't forget to visit the Umeda Sky Building for the Floating Garden Observatory and enjoy the amazing 360 degree views, particularly at night. And if you're lucky enough to visit in the spring, you can partake in the world famous Cherry blossom viewing.
