Jetstar has announced a major boost to its Hobart and Launceston services, with a total increase of more than 408,000 additional seats to and from Tasmania during the next financial year.

The Fair Work Ombudsman has filed claims against Thai-based TET and Singapore-based Valuair, two companies used by Jetstar for the supply of cabin crew, as being involved in alleged breaches of the Fair Work Act and the Aircraft Cabin Crew Award.

Jetstar today welcomed the return of the Boeing 787 as the aircraft makes a short visit to the airline’s home town of Melbourne.

Qantas and Jetstar will increase capacity on east coast routes by up to 25,800 seats per week during 2012/13.
