Cabin baggage

Starter passengers are permitted one main item of carry-on baggage and one other small item, with a maximum combined weight of 10kg. Business passengers are allowed two main items of carry-on baggage and one other small item, with a maximum combined weight of 20kg.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage can be purchased at the time of your booking or can be added afterwards. It is more cost effective to add checked baggage allowance before check in opens for your flight. For a higher fee you can still upgrade at the airport.

There are government requirements for your carry-on baggage around taking liquid, aerosols and gels. For example, on international flights, containers larger than 100 millilitres, even if only partially-filled, will not be allowed through the security screening point.

Excess baggage

If you arrive with more baggage than allocated, you will have to pay an excess baggage charge for each additional kilogram of baggage. Also, if you have not pre-ordered excess baggage allowance, you will incur a flat fee for 20kg of checked baggage.

If you have specific needs, such as travelling with an infant, have limited mobility, are blind or have vision impairment, are deaf or have a hearing impairment, are travelling with a guide or assistant dog, or you are in a group of seven or more passengers, you must check-in with our counter staff at the airport check-in counter. Customers must check in 90 minutes prior to departures from a domestic terminal, and at least two hours prior to departures from international terminals.

You can now check-in online for international flights. You must print your web-check and still head straight to the dedicated web-check in queue at the airport. Check-in closes 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. There will be a dedicated queue for people who have web-checked.
