Connecting Flights
Unless otherwise advised, Jetstar does not provide flight connections, baggage transfer or check-in for multiple flights. If a chosen itinerary includes multiple flights, it is the passenger's responsibility when making bookings to allow sufficient time between the first flight's arrival and next flight's departure. This time between flights is known as Recommended Connection Time and will differ depending on the flight details. Generally, Recommended Connection Times assist with the allowance of sufficient time for alighting from the first flight, baggage collection and re-check, and boarding for ongoing flights.
Jetstar does provide limited baggage connectivity between selected flights (see table below for details) where the connection is within acceptable Recommended Connection Times. It remains the passenger's responsibility to ensure that Recommended Connection Times are allowed for within their schedule.
Passengers with a Qantas (QF) flight sector in their itinerary required to transfer between terminals at Sydney Airport are able to use the Qantas shuttle bus for no charge.
Travel insurance is recommaended.
Recommended Connection Times and Baggage Transfers
The carrier operating your flight will be listed underneath your flight details when you make a booking and on your itinerary. The carrier will also be identified by the carrier code located next to your flight number.

* Recommended Connection Times vary depending on the airport where the flight connection is taking place. For example, if you have a flight that arrives at 0900 at Sydney airport and you are connecting to another flight departing from Sydney airport, you need to allow at least 120 minutes between the first flight's arrival and your next flight's departure, therefore your next flight should not leave before 1100.

^ Passengers travelling to or from the United States should allow a minimum of 2 hours connection time due to increased security screening requirements.
^^ For baggage to be through checked (transferred) your flights must be in the same booking (ie. Have the same booking reference number).
Please note, on the 8th of December 2006, the Australian Government announced that from the 31st of March 2007, it will introduce enhanced security measures to limit the amount of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels that can be taken through the security screening points. The new measures will only take place for flights to and from Australia.
