Auto web check-in
When you book a domestic Australian or New Zealand flight at Jetstar.com you’ll have the option of registering for our auto check-in service. If you choose this option your boarding pass will be emailed automatically to the address used to make your booking. Passengers on all domestic flights may also be eligible to receive an SMS Boarding pass, which will be sent to the nominated phone number. Both options will send through your Boarding Pass within 48 hours of your departure.
Remember to print the boarding pass out, or bring the nominated mobile phone with you to the airport. See our Web Check-in page and SMS Boarding Pass page for full details.

Even if you don’t choose the auto check-in at the time of your booking, you can still check-in online for your domestic Australian or New Zealand flights between 48 hours to 60 minutes before departure by visiting Jetstar.com.
Once you’ve checked-in, you can either print your boarding pass straight away or have it emailed to you. Passengers on all domestic flights may also be eligible to receive an SMS Boarding pass, which will be sent to the nominated phone number. Airport kiosk check-in
Jetstar kiosks are a great alternative to counter check-in at the airport. Our state-of-the-art kiosks are located near our check-in desks and allow you to print your own boarding pass and skip the queue!
Jetstar kiosks are available at the following domestic airports:
- Melbourne – Tullamarine
- Melbourne – Avalon
- Gold Coast
SMS boarding pass
For eligible customers, if you book your domestic Australia or New Zealand flight online you can automatically check-in and have an SMS boarding pass delivered to your mobile phone 48 hours before departure. Alternatively, if you chose to use Web Check-in your Boarding Pass will be sent to your nominated phone number within 1 hour.
If you have no baggage to check in then you can go directly to your departure gate and present your mobile phone with the SMS boarding pass open for scanning.
If you do have baggage to check in then you need to scan your Mobile Boarding Pass at the Jetstar Kiosk Check-in Area, select the number of bags required to check in and print off your baggage tags. You will then need to proceed to the Jetstar Bag Drop before heading to the departure gate, presenting your mobile phone with the SMS boarding pass open for scanning.
A paper boarding pass will be printed at the gate, so you can switch off your mobile and board the aircraft. See our SMS boarding pass page for more information.
Airport counter check-in
Of course you can check-in at one of our airport counters, where our friendly Customer Service Staff are ready to assist you.
Checking-in at the airport on time helps us to get your flight away on schedule. It’s worth noting that all passengers, including children and infants travelling with an adult, need to provide current and approved identification. We may ask to view this ID if necessary.
Please note that the following flight bookings require passengers to use the airport check-in counter:
- bookings that contain 7+ passengers
- domestic flights that depart from an international terminal
- bookings requesting specific assistance, including passengers who wish to check-in a wheel chair, mobility aid or who are travelling with a service dog.
- bookings with an infant travelling
