At Jetstar we offer two simple fare options, our Starter fare in economy and our Business Class fare (available on our A330 long-haul international flights), both of which give you the flexibility to choose and customise your checked baggage.
Our Starter fare includes 10kg of carry-on baggage for Jetstar flights and 7kg of carry-on baggage for Jetstar Pacific (Vietnam) flights and is a great way to travel lighter and save
What are Dangerous Goods
Dangerous Goods are items that could jeopardise the safety of an aircraft, or the people on board that aircraft.
Dangerous Goods are also known as restricted articles, hazardous materials and dangerous cargo. Their carriage on Jetstar aircraft is primarily governed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Regulations.
Jetstar and Qantas follow the same dangerous goods policy and Qantas provides operator approval of dangerous goods on Jetstar services. Please view the Qantas Dangerous Goods page for full details, including a Dangerous Goods guide and contact details
Dangerous Goods must not be carried in (or as) passenger or crew-checked baggage or carry-on baggage, except as indicated in the table below. Security type attaché cases incorporating Dangerous Goods, such as lithium batteries or pyrotechnic devices, are totally forbidden.
Disabling devices such as mace or pepper spray, which contain an irritant or incapacitating substance, are also totally forbidden.
Civil Aviation Safety Regulations forbid the carriage of most items of Dangerous Goods onto an aircraft.
Jetstar is unable to carry Dry Ice on any flight operated by an A321 aircraft. Please check your itinerary to confirm the aircraft operating your flight.
Firearms and Ammunition
We may agree to carry firearms and ammunition as checked baggage. If we do these items must be packed in accordance with all applicable national and international laws and regulations.
Important note: Jetstar does not permit the carriage of Munitions of War (firearms and/or ammunition) into, out of or through Singapore.
Firearms and ammunition cannot be carried on Jetstar Japan (GK) flights.
