Akarana Lounge Closure - Important Note:

The Ākarana Lounge will be closing on the 15th June 2012. Customers may still purchase access to the Lounge for any flight departing up to and including the 15th June 2012.

If you have already purchased access to the Lounge for a flight departing from the 16th June 2012, Jetstar will contact you to arrange a refund of the entry price. Jetstar apologises for any inconvenience caused.

With the closure of the Lounge, Jetstar customers can look forward to a larger, re-invigorated departure gate that will provide greater standards of comfort.

Entry

Exclusive to domestic passengers travelling with Jetstar, the Ākarana Lounge offers a range of features designed to make your travel experience a comfortable and enjoyable one. This includes lounge chairs, complimentary food and beverages, wireless Internet access for passengers with wifi enabled devices, computer terminals and plasma screens showing television news, music videos and movies.

With free entry for children six years and under, the lounge is ideal for entertaining little ones while waiting for your flight. If you’re a Business Max ticket holder you can use the Gold Coast Lounge for free. If you are a Business starter ticket holder, you can add lounge access to your fare for a fee.

Price

The Ākarana Lounge costs $9.99NZD pre-purchased (before travel) from Jetstar.com or Jetstar Reservations, or $15.00NZD at the door. Business Max passenger and children six years and under are admitted free of charge.

Hours

The Ākarana Lounge opens at 5:30am and closes at the boarding call of the last scheduled Jetstar flight departure.

Location

The Ākarana Lounge is located through security in the domestic departure lounge at Auckland Airport near gates 20 and 21.

How to book

When you book your domestic flight departing from Auckland airport at Jetstar.com, you will be given the option of booking the Ākarana Lounge at a discounted rate. If you forget to pre-pay when booking your flight, you can still call Jetstar Reservations up until the day before your departure, to receive a discounted entry rate. If you decide to use the Ākarana Lounge when you’re at the airport, you can pay for entry at the door.
