The StarKids partnership between Jetstar and World Vision will ordinarily support humanitarian relief and community-based development projects in Australia and across Asia. It’s about transforming the lives of families and communities living in poverty and giving kids a brighter future. Money raised through StarKids helps fund important projects in a number of Jetstar’s destinations including Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, as well as in Australia. From time to time, Jetstar and World Vision may instead allocate money raised to fund World Vision’s work in responding to severe humanitarian emergencies in other locations.
Since the partnership started in 2007, Jetstar Australia and New Zealand has helped raise more than $4 million for World Vision projects.
Your small change today can change a child’s life tomorrow
The aim of StarKids is to raise awareness of the causes and effects of poverty on children and their families through positive stories of hope and change, and to highlight the work World Vision is doing transforming the lives of vulnerable children.
StarKids offers the millions of Australians travelling with Jetstar each year the opportunity to help change lives through the simple act of donating spare change on a flight or a couple of dollars when booking. The money given to World Vision through StarKids supports projects that provide clean drinking water, basic healthcare and agricultural training and emergency relief when needed.
