Hobart's airport is 16km east of the city centre: from there, you can take the Airporter Shuttle Bus (0419 382 240) or grab a cab. The local bus network, run by Metro Tasmania (www.metrotas.com.au), is reliable but infrequent outside of business hours. There are also bike and car hire outlets.
