Getting There

If you hire your own car or motorbike, getting around the island is easy: don’t worry, the traffic is nothing like Bangkok. Săwngthăews (usually converted trucks with bench seating) ply most of the routes between the resorts and Phuket City; they're cheap, but crowded and slow. Taxis and tuk-tuks are also widely available, but can get expensive.
