The Jetstar Airrways (JQ) Fleet
Jetstar launched its first Australian Domestic services in May 2004 operating
a fleet of 14 Boeing 717-200 aircraft. The airline received the first of its
A320-200 aircraft in June 2004 from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France.
Since then it has progressively taken delivery of an additional 26 Airbus A320s
and has phased out the B717 aircraft. The A320 offers the widest cabin of any
single-aisle aircraft and is fitted with 177 leather seats in a single class
configuration. Today, Jetstar's fleet has grown and now operates three different
Airbus aircrafts across its Domestic and International operations. This is
made up of 27 Airbus A320s, 1 Airbus A321 and 6 Airbus A330s.
International Fleet
Airbus A330-200
Jetstar's international long-haul services are operated by a fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Configured into two cabins, StarClass and Economy, the aircraft has a total capacity of 303 passengers. The cabin interiors have been refurbished to reflect the Jetstar colour scheme and comfort levels, including all seats being upholstered with grey leather.
The StarClass cabin on the A330-200
The StarClass cabin offers 38 leather covered seats, offering more personal space and comfort than Economy class. Each seat is equipped with in seat power allowing passengers to plug in a laptop or recharge personal music players. The seats also have adjustable lumbar support and headrests with wings on the side of the head rest to ensure you can rest comfortably.
The Economy class cabin on the A330 - 200
The Economy class cabin will offer 265 leather covered seats each with a 31 inch seat pitch. Each seat has an adjustable wings in the headrest. There is a water fountain in the economy class cabin with cups.
The Jetstar Pacific (BL) Fleet
In Vietnam, Jetstar Pacific started with a fleet of the famous Boeing B737-400
aircraft. Jetstar Pacific is now changing to an all Airbus A320 fleet, with
its first A320 aircraft introduced in August 2008.
Airbus A320 is a modern and state of the art aircraft type. Jetstar Pacific
A320s have up to 177 seats in all economy class configuration and range that
effectively covers Vietnam’s domestic and regional destinations.
Airbus A320s have a widest cabin among all single-aisle aircraft types. Their
overhead bins are also bigger and convenient for passengers.
Jetstar Pacific’s A320 aircraft have all leather seats at 30 inches (76 cm)
seat pitch, which is 01 inch (2.5 cm) more than other aircraft types and provides
more leg room and passenger comfort.
Further more, Airbus A320s are fuel efficient and quiet aircraft.
Seating
The seat pitch on Jetstar's Airbus A320 is 30 inches (76 cm). The new Airbus A320s feature all leather slim-line seats with 1 inch (2.5 cm) of extra width providing additional space and comfort. The seat pitch on the Airbus A330 aircraft is 38 inches (96 cm) in StarClass and 31 inches (78 cm) in Economy class.

Want a Window or Aisle Seat?
For just 15.000VND per passenger, in each direction JetSaver Light passengers are able to purchase any available standard seat. JetSaver and JetFlex passengers are able to request any standard seat for no extra charge, subject to availability.
Exit Row Seating Requirements
In order to sit in an Exit Row seat, you must satisfy the following general criteria:
- Be at least 15 years or older
- Be able to understand and carry out instructions
- Not be travelling with someone that requires your assistance in an emergency
- Not have any permanent or temporary impairment (e.g. deaf, hearing impaired, blind, vision impaired, any strength or mobility limitation, intellectual impairment or travelling with a service dog)
- Be able to check outside conditions and react to crew commands
- Be able to reach, open, lift and throw out the 15kg (approx 33lbs) exit door in an emergency
- Acknowledge the exit row briefing given by Cabin Crew once onboard the aircraft
- Be willing to assist in the unlikely event of an emergency
- Not be seated with an infant
- Not require the use of an extension seat belt
- Not be elderly
Extra Leg Room Seats
Jetstar offers JetSaver Light and JetSaver passengers the ability to purchase Extra Leg Room seating in selected exit row seats on bookings (excluding flights from Japan). In order to qualify to sit in these seats, you must meet the exit row seating requirements listed above.
JetFlex passengers are able to request any exit row seat for no extra charge, subject to availability. JetFlex passengers requesting an exit row seat must also meet the requirements above.
How much more Extra Leg Room do I get?
On A320 and A321 aircraft, you will gain an Extra 8 inches (20 cm) of seat pitch and on an A330 aircraft, an Extra 15 inches (38 cm) of seat pitch.
Terms and Conditions – Paid Seat Request (Extra Leg Room, Up Front and JetSaver Light Seat Request)
Any paid seat request comprising of either an Extra Leg Room Seat, Up Front Seat or JetSaver Light Seat request, are non transferable (unless a permitted name change is performed on the Booking) and non refundable.
In the event of a flight disruption or schedule change, Jetstar will attempt to seat you in your seat requested, or an equivalent seat, but cannot guarantee that such a seat will be available on your new flight. You may also be required to move seats for operational reasons.
If, in accordance with the JetSaver or JetSaver Light fare rules, you choose to move to a different flight, you will be offered an equivalent seat if available at the time the change is made. However, if an equivalent seat is unavailable, Jetstar will not provide a refund of the additional amount paid.
If a higher fee for a paid seat request applies when you change your flight, you must pay any applicable fee difference.
Inflight Refreshments
StarClass - for extra comfort
StarClass passengers will have an unlimited beverage and snack bar, as well as all meals, included as part of the StarClass personalised service. For each meal, StarClass passengers will be able to select from three meal choices, one of which will be vegetarian. The number of meal services will differ depending on the length of your flight. Beverages will include water, juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee and a range of alcoholic drinks.
Economy class - it's all about choice
On international services operated by A330 aircraft and limited international services operated by A320 and A321 aircraft , economy class passengers can pre-select and pay for the option of having their meals included during their flight when they make their booking or they can purchase from a range of food and beverage items once on board. When pre-selecting the option of having meals, passengers can indicate if they would like vegetarian meals. Pre-purchased meals will include unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. This includes beverages such as water, juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Additional snacks and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase inflight.
Economy class passengers who do not pre-select and pay for their meals will be able to purchase a meal during meal services. Please note that without pre-purchase, we can not guarantee your preferred choice of meal will be available.
Passengers are also welcome to bring their own food on board however please note that there will be no refrigeration facilities or any heating facilities on board and crew will not provide cutlery, napkins or cups for food brought on board by passengers. All Economy class passengers will be given a complimentary bottle of water at the beginning of their flight. There will also be a water fountain and disposable cups on A330-200 aircraft. All other beverages, juice, soft drink, tea and coffee including additional bottled water is available for purchase. Please note that only alcohol, which has been purchased from the cabin crew, is permitted to be consumed on board.
On the Australia domestic flights and the flight from/ to New Zealand
The range of beverages available for purchase will include water, juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee and a range of alcoholic drinks. Please note that only alcohol that has been provided by cabin crew is permitted to be consumed on board.

For flights operated by Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF), unless you have special medical or dietary needs, please note that only food and drinks purchased from the cabin crew can be consumed onboard flights.

Jetstar has signed the contract with the prestigious company supplying food
and water for you inflight. There are many types of beverages such as fruit
juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee; and other fast foods. You can choose
food and cash payment option of your choice.
Passengers can also bring their own food to aircraft. However, please note that you will not have refrigeration or heated equipment on aircraft and the crew will not provide spoon, fork, paper cup for own passenger's food. about destination, fashion, restaurant, festival and the news in the Vietnamese & international
entertainment that has been updated continuously.

On the international flight operated by Jetstar Airways (JQ)
After take off, each StarClass passenger will be offered a Video on Demand Unit and headsets. Each unit is programmed with a range of movies, TV programs, music videos and children's programs. StarClass passengers can also plug headsets into their seat to enjoy a range of audio programs.
For Economy class passengers, there will be a limited quantity of Video on Demand units available for hire. Passengers can reserve and pay for a unit at the time they make their booking or once on board. Passengers will be asked to provide identification to hire a Video on Demand unit.
In the Economy cabin, there will also be several screens along the aisles which will show films and TV programs. Passengers can purchase a set of reusable headsets once on board to tune into these programs or the range of audio programs which will also be available.
Children's activity kits will be available for purchase in the StarClass and Economy class cabins.
Domestic services and flights to and from New Zealand
On selected Jetstar services, you can now watch movies, TV shows, cartoons, music videos or listen to the latest music. Simply rent one of our portable Video on Demand units from the cabin crew during your flight. Jetstar is proud to offer this Australian first in in-flight entertainment! Passengers will be asked to provide identification to hire a Video on Demand unit.
Jetstar also offers an inflight magazine which will keep you entertained while providing great travel tips.
Amenities
StarClass passengers will have a comfort pack available on their flights.
The kit includes a blanket and pillow, plus an amenity kit containing eye shades,
a tooth brush and toothpaste. Comfort packs will be available for purchase
in the economy class cabin.
