Club Jetstar Australia Terms and Conditions

1 August 2025 Terms and Conditions apply to those who have joined or renewed Club Jetstar Memberships from 1 August 2025 For those who have joined or renewed Club Jetstar Memberships prior to 1 August 2025 please refer to Terms and Conditions found here. Introduction A. These Terms and Conditions form the basis of Club Jetstar. They are intended to protect both Members and Jetstar. It is the Member’s responsibility to read and understand them. B. Every Member is bound by these Terms and Conditions. These vary by region in which you initially joined Club Jetstar. C. These Terms and Conditions are effective as at the date specified above and may be amended by Jetstar in accordance with clause 6. Where a change to these Terms and Conditions is a material change or in a way that deprives the Member substantially of the intended use of the Membership, a Member can elect to notify Jetstar to cancel their membership and receive a pro rata refund of the Join Fee and Annual Fee in accordance with clause 6. D. The current Terms and Conditions are available at this website. At the time of joining Club Jetstar, Jetstar will email Members a link to access an electronic copy of the Terms and Conditions. E. For security reasons we can’t send emails to generic email addresses (e.g. admin@example.com or info@example.com) as they can be reported as spam by other recipients who are connected with these email addresses. Definitions In these Terms and Conditions unless the context otherwise requires: 'Benefit/s' means any of the facilities, discounts, services or arrangements offered or available to a Member as a result of membership to Club Jetstar, which are posted on the site or notified directly to a member by Jetstar, but excludes Offers; Offers’ means any of the facilities, discounts, services or arrangements offered or available to a Member as a result of membership to Club Jetstar from a third party other than Jetstar. Join Fee’ means the fee paid to gain access to the Club Annual Fee’ means the fee paid to renew membership on the 12-month anniversary of joining or renewing a Club Jetstar Membership 'Club' or 'Club Jetstar' means the paid membership program operated by Jetstar Airways; 'Jetstar' means each of Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd (GK) and any other airline or travel company lawfully operating under the brand 'Jetstar' or a similar brand from time to time; 'Jetstar Airways' means Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd ABN (33 069 720 243); 'Jetstar.com' means the Jetstar website which is located at www.jetstar.com; 'Member' means a person who is a member of Club Jetstar; 'Membership' means membership of Club Jetstar; 'My Account' means the free My Account program operated by Jetstar Airways; 'Qantas Group' means Qantas Airways Limited (ABN 16 009 661 901), its related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)) including Jetstar and companies in which Qantas Airways Limited or Jetstar holds or controls (directly or indirectly) 25% or more of the issued capital; 'Site' means the Members-only section of Jetstar.com accessible by the Member entering their email address and password; 'Terms and Conditions' means these Terms and Conditions between Jetstar Airways and each Member. Terms and conditions apply depending on which point of sale the Club Jetstar Membership was purchased on. Membership in the Jetstar Airways 'Club Jetstar' program is conditional on you ("Member") accepting the Terms and Conditions contained herein (the "Agreement"). By enrolling in Club Jetstar or using or continuing to use the benefits of Club Jetstar, the Member is deemed to have agreed to all such Terms and Conditions of the Agreement. 1. Eligibility and Enrolment 1.1 Membership of Club Jetstar is open only to individuals. 1.2 All Members must be enrolled in My Account. If a Member is not enrolled in My Account when enrolling in the Club, the Member will automatically be enrolled in My Account. The My Account Terms and Conditions will apply, and Members should check these carefully before making your purchase. The details of the My Account Terms and Conditions are provided on jetstar.com at the time of enrolment into the Club. 1.3 Members personal information must be accurate when applying for Club membership or using any Club Benefits or Offers. Failure to do so may invalidate Membership in the Club and any subsequent fare purchase at Jetstar’s reasonable discretion in accordance with clauses 1.8 and 1.9. It is each Member’s responsibility to update personal information via the Site within the Member’s My Account Profile. 1.4 Membership in the Club is non-transferable. Only a Member may use the Benefits of their Membership. A Member must promptly notify Jetstar upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of their Membership. To receive the Benefits, bookings must be made directly through jetstar.com and the Member must be a passenger on the booking and be logged into their Membership at the time of making their booking. 1.5 An email address and password will be used for security of the Member’s Membership information. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that their password is kept secure.
Note: to ensure your password is kept secure, never write it down and avoid choosing obvious passwords like your name or email address.
1.6 Members must not act in any way which breaches these Terms and Conditions; or abuse or misuse Club Jetstar, facilities, services or arrangements accorded to the Member as a result of Membership including by: engaging in illegal or fraudulent activities; use Club Jetstar for commercial purposes, including by selling the Benefits or Offers; supplying or attempting to supply false or misleading information, or making a misrepresentation to Jetstar; acting in a hostile, abusive or aggressive way towards Jetstar staff; acting in an unruly manner on board a flight or in any airport lounges; or refusing to follow reasonable instructions from any Jetstar staff.
Any breach of clause 1.6 will be a material breach of these Terms and Conditions.
1.7 Each Member is responsible for ensuring their Membership details are correct when making bookings through their account and must change any details where necessary. Jetstar accepts no responsibility for any losses arising from a Member’s inability to access the Site or any failure to complete a transaction due to the Member losing his or her password or failing to keep Membership details complete and up to date. Without limiting the foregoing and subject to clause 5.4, Jetstar shall have no liability to a Member for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation arising from requests or instructions supplied by a Member which are incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate or arising from their late arrival or non-arrival, or any other fault of Member. 1.8 Jetstar reserves the right to, acting reasonably, suspend the relevant Membership for a material breach of these Terms and Conditions. If the Member is reasonably suspected to have facilitated or been involved in the specified activity, the Member will then have 14 days to respond to the notice by providing an explanation for the specified activity, rectifying the identified breach (where possible) and providing any reason why Jetstar should remove the suspension and not take any further action. Jetstar will review any response provided by the Member and determine, acting reasonably, whether the response is acceptable. 1.9 Jetstar will advise the Member of the outcome of the process in clause 1.8, which may include Jetstar:
  • removing the suspension with no further action; or
  • acting reasonably, cancelling the Member’s Membership.
2. Membership term, renewal and payment 2.1 Upon enrolment, each Member will be charged the Join Fee. The Join Fee (and Annual Fee from the first anniversary) is an annual membership fee and provides customer with 12 months enrolment into the Club. 2.2 Subject to clause 5.4 and clause 6, the Join Fee and Annual Fee are non-refundable, notwithstanding Member’s cancellation of membership in the Club. 2.3 The Join Fee applicable at the time of joining will be displayed to prospective Members prior to joining. If the member is purchasing their membership in conjunction with a flight booking, they will pay their Join Fee in the currency of the booked fare. 2.4 One (1) year after enrolment in the Club, and on each anniversary thereafter, Members, who are opted in for autorenewal, will be automatically charged the Annual Fee for the next 12 months for membership in the Club as described in clauses 2.7 and 2.8 below. Jetstar may change the Annual Fee at any time by giving at least one month’s notice to existing Members by email in accordance with clause 6. Jetstar may notify Members of a change in the Annual Fee by way of setting out the applicable new Annual Fee in the reminder email described in clause 2.7. Members will be charged their Annual Fee in the currency of the selected program (i.e. Club Jetstar Australia will be charged in AUD), regardless of whether their initial fee was paid in an alternate currency. 2.5 Member may elect not to renew membership in the Club by selecting the ‘Do not auto renew my account’ option on the ‘Manage your Club Jetstar Account’ page or by contacting the Jetstar Contact Centre prior to the membership expiry date. Members that select ‘Do not auto renew my account’ will continue to have access to Membership in the Club until the expiry of the 12-month term for which the Member has paid the Annual Fee unless the Member renews the Membership by paying the Annual Fee before the Club Jetstar Membership expiry date. 2.6 A Member may also at any time cancel their Membership by contacting the Jetstar contact centre. The Member’s access to the Club will cease upon confirmation from Jetstar. 2.7 Jetstar will send a reminder email to the email address stored in the Member’s profile approximately 30 days before the 12-month membership renewal is due. If the Member is opted in for autorenewal on the 12-month anniversary of joining the program (and every 12-month anniversary following) the membership will automatically renew for a further 12 months and the Member’s payment method stored in the Membership profile will be charged the annual fee, unless a Member elects not to renew in accordance with clause 2.5. 2.8 Once a Member cancels their membership, Membership cannot be reinstated; the Member must sign up again and pay the Membership Join Fee as applicable at the time to receive Club Benefits and/or Offers. 3. Fare purchases, Benefits and Offers 3.1 A Member can use their Benefits to make a Jetstar booking for themselves and up to 4 other people on the same booking (5 passengers total) on jetstar.com. Benefits do not apply to Jetstar bookings made via Jetstar Connect. 3.2 The Club Jetstar Member must always be one of the passengers travelling on the same booking when utilising any Benefits, including the booking of discounted Club Jetstar fares or receiving any other Club Jetstar discounts or Benefits available on Jetstar.com. 3.3 A Member may not purchase fares or make a booking for resale. All changes to bookings and fares are subject to the applicable Fare Rules, which may require a change fee plus fare difference. The fare difference may be substantial. Members should check these Fare Rules carefully before making their purchase. The details of the Fare Rules are provided on Jetstar.com at the time of booking. 3.4 Specific terms and conditions may apply to Benefits including, any promotions, fares, flight vouchers, discounts, special offers and any other Benefits. Benefit terms and conditions may be notified directly to the Member by Jetstar or detailed on the Site on Jetstar.com 3.5 As part of Club Jetstar, Jetstar may provide Members with Offers which may include discounts, hotel or other vouchers, or special promotions provided by third party providers. Offers provided by third parties are subject to the Offer terms and conditions as notified by Jetstar or the third party pertaining to that Offer. Jetstar may receive commission from partners/affiliates. 3.6 Members acknowledge that Offers provided by third parties are dynamic in nature and are subject to change or withdrawal at any time. Where possible, Jetstar will provide Members with advance notice on the Site of any material changes to or the withdrawal of a third party Offer but may not be able to in all circumstances. 3.7 Jetstar may contact selected Members directly to provide limited time Benefits or Offers in addition to the standard Club Jetstar Member Benefits from time to time. Recipients of any such limited time Benefits or Offers shall be determined by Jetstar and such limited time Benefits or Offers may not be made available to all Members or posted on the Site. 3.8 Benefits and Offers provided under clause 3.7 are not transferable and a limit of use may apply, as set out in the applicable terms and conditions communicated to the Members. They may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. 4. Privacy and personal information Jetstar respects each Member’s privacy. Our full Privacy Policy is available on Jetstar.com. 4.1 By joining Club Jetstar, Members agree that Jetstar collects, uses, and shares their information during the booking process and any updates or activities while logged in and while accessing Jetstar.com. As described in our Privacy Policy, this information is used for:
  • Providing products or services;
  • Improving customer service through research, marketing, product development, and planning;
  • Marketing Jetstar’s or third parties’ products or services through different means including: email, SMS, web-based marketing, and mailouts; and
  • Allowing third parties to provide services to Jetstar, the Qantas Group, or Members.
This information may be transferred to or from Australia. If a Member does not provide the requested information, Jetstar may not be able to offer all Club Benefits. 4.2 Members can request access to and correction of their personal information held by Jetstar Airways, as permitted by law. Only the Member named on the account can access their Membership information. Jetstar Airways complies with court orders, subpoenas, and investigations by authorities, which may require sharing a Member’s information without their knowledge or consent. 5. Liability 5.1 Should Jetstar not be able to run any fare sale event as promoted, Jetstar will take all reasonable steps to make available an equivalent sale event to Members within 60 days. Jetstar’s liability is limited in such circumstances to making available that equivalent sale event to Members. 5.2 Members are responsible for investigating the suitability of Jetstar and third party products prior to purchase. Except as expressly provided for in these Terms and Conditions, and subject to any law which cannot be excluded Jetstar shall not be liable for any loss, cost, expense or damage of any nature whatever (whether direct or indirect) resulting from a Member changing their mind after purchase. 5.3 While Jetstar Airways provides third party discounts as part of Membership, Jetstar Airways is not responsible for any representations made by third parties. Subject to clause 5.4, responsibility for fulfilling the contractual or other obligations should a Member choose to purchase a third party product or service, and liability for any loss or damage relating to those products and services, rests with that third party and is governed by that third party’s terms and conditions advised on the Site on Jetstar.com. 5.4 To the extent permitted by law, Jetstar Airways excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer of goods or services by Jetstar or any third party service providers, or in connection with the supply of such goods or services, save to the extent that such loss or damage arises from Jetstar’s breach of these Terms and Conditions or the law, negligence or wilful misconduct. 5.5 Jetstar Airways will take all reasonable steps to deliver emails to the email address notified by the Member, however Jetstar Airways not be responsible for lost, misdirected, bounced, or late delivery of sale information delivered via email due to any cause beyond Jetstar’s reasonable control. 5.6 Unless otherwise required by law, Jetstar Airways does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accident or failure of machinery or equipment not under Jetstar Airways’ custody or control, or industrial action. 5.7 You should obtain travel advice as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination before booking and travel. For international destinations, check the travel advisories on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Smartraveller website. 5.8 Jetstar conducts, consistent with industry standard, reasonable efforts to ensure that viruses (or other programs having adverse effects) do not reside on the Site. 5.9 This section applies only to the extent permitted by law. 6. Changes to Terms and Conditions 6.1 Jetstar may amend the Terms and Conditions of this agreement from time to time by posting such changes on the Site. 6.2 Where any change to these Terms and Conditions will be adverse to Members, as reasonably determined by Jetstar, Jetstar will give Members 30 days’ notice of changes. 6.3 Where Jetstar makes any adverse change to a Benefit, as reasonably determined by Jetstar, or removes a Club Jetstar Benefit without replacing it with a comparable Benefit, or amends these Terms and Conditions, in a way that deprives Members substantially of the intended use of the Membership, Jetstar will give notice of any such change to Members by providing at least 30 days’ written notice by email, as well as by publishing the changes on the Club Jetstar Site and/or terms and conditions page found on jetstar.com. 6.4 Where a change occurs in accordance with 6.2 or 6.3 a Member will have the option of cancelling their membership by contacting Jetstar and receiving a pro rata refund of the applicable Join Fee or Annual Fee for the remaining period of Membership from the date that the Member has contacted Jetstar. 6.5 A Member may also elect not to renew their Membership in Club Jetstar in accordance with clause 2.5. 6.6 Jetstar will email current Members at the email address provided in the Member’s profile to notify them of any amendments to the Terms and Conditions of this agreement or Benefits provided that Jetstar shall not be responsible for any lost, misdirected, bounced, or late delivery of any email sent by Jetstar. 7. Copyright and Trademarks 7.1 Jetstar Airways owns or is lawfully entitled to all of the copyrighted material in Jetstar.com and the Site. All other intellectual property rights are reserved. The Site is for personal use only, and may not be used for commercial purposes. A Member may only download to their personal computer for viewing purposes and print out a number of pages of the Site for the Member’s personal use. Member may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from the Site. 7.2 All trademarks, product names and company names and logos appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners. 8. General 8.1 Interpretation: In these Terms and Conditions, unless the contrary intention appears: the singular includes the plural and vice versa; dates or times are Melbourne, Australia dates or times; a reference to 'include' or 'including' means 'including but not limited to'. 8.2 Governing Law: The Terms and Conditions and membership in My Account are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia irrespective of where the application for Membership has been completed by the Member or submitted to Jetstar. In any action or other legal process with respect to any matter or thing in connection with these Terms and Conditions or Membership the Member submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the State of Victoria. 8.3 For New Zealand-based services or products: The New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 may apply however it will not apply where Membership has been obtained, or a Member has represented it has been obtained, for business purposes, in which case provisions of that Act are excluded from these Terms and Conditions. 8.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any rights a Member may have and which by law cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and under State and Territory consumer protection legislation. 8.5 If part or all of any clause of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect. 9. Miscellaneous 9.1 Member agrees that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Jetstar as a result of this Agreement or use of the Site. 9.2 The English language Terms and Conditions on Jetstar.com will be the controlling Terms and Conditions of this Agreement. 9.3 By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you are agreeing to receive all Club emails sent from Jetstar. These emails are in addition to promotional emails which are sent in accordance with the selected preferences in your Jetstar account.
Opting out of these communications may impact Jetstar’s ability to provide you, as a Club Jetstar Member, with all the Benefits or Offers that would otherwise be available as part of Membership. There are, however, some service messages that we must be able to send you. These include, for example, information relating to your Membership, information about bookings you have made, voucher entitlements, products you have purchased, and forgotten passwords.
9.4 These Terms and Conditions and any other terms referenced herein shall supersede any prior written or oral agreements in relation to your Membership and constitute all the terms and conditions agreed upon between you and Jetstar. 9.5 Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Jetstar and the Member.
