These are our payment options for payments made in Australian Dollars (AUD). For payment in other currencies, different payment options are available.
Points Plus Pay – Flights
If you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can pay for your flights and any add-ons with Qantas Points, or with a combination of Qantas Points and another payment method. A minimum of 3,500 Qantas Points is required to pay for any part of a booking at jetstar.com.
For Points Plus Pay – Flights bookings, a payment fee applies unless you pay using POLi, Jetstar voucher, Jetstar Gift Card, Jetstar credit cards issued in Australia, or choose to redeem entirely in points. To use Afterpay, you must be an Australian resident over the age of 18, have a current Australian credit or debit card and have a valid and verifiable ID.
Afterpay is available for bookings made online at Jetstar.com for all Jetstar Airways (JQ) Australian domestic and international flights where you see the Afterpay logo and a price breakdown at the bottom of the page. If you choose this payment method, you’ll need to book at least 48 hours before your first departing flight.
Afterpay payments are interest-free when paid by the due date. However, a payment fee of 1.5% of the total booking amount will apply when you make your booking.
The total cost of your booking must not exceed AUD $2000 (including the 1.5% payment fee). Afterpay will assess your individual eligibility to make a purchase up to this amount.
If your total order amount exceeds your Afterpay-approved spending limit, your upfront payment may be higher than subsequent payments. Afterpay will show you how the instalments are split before you pay.
To pay, simply select Afterpay on the payment page of your booking to have your purchase split over four fortnightly payments.
Refunds on fares paid using Afterpay follow the same terms and conditions as bookings made with any other payment method.

Credit, debit or charge card
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB and UATP cards, including credit cards, debit cards and charge cards. A Payment Fee will apply.
Australian residents can pay with Jetstar credit cards issued in Australia and avoid the Payment Fee.
Card foreign transaction fee
Your credit or debit card payments may be processed outside the country where you purchased your booking. The bank that issued your card may identify your credit or debit card payment as a foreign transaction and charge you a fee. For further information, please contact your bank.
If you have a bank account issued in mainland China, you can pay for your Jetstar flights using Alipay. When you choose this option, you'll be redirected to the Alipay site or app. A Payment Fee will apply.
Alipay is available in the following currencies: Chinese yuan (CNY), US dollars (USD), Australian dollars (AUD), Hong Kong dollars (HKD), Singapore dollars (SGD) and Japanese yen (JPY).
If you have a bank account issued in mainland China, you can pay for your Jetstar flights using WeChat Pay. When you choose this option, you'll be redirected to a secure payment gateway (hosted by our partner WorldPay) where you’ll use your WeChat app to scan a QR code. A Payment Fee will apply. (Please note: WeChat Pay is currently only available on the desktop version of jetstar.com.)
Vouchers issued by Jetstar can be used for part or full payment of your fare. Please note that vouchers can only be used once and any unused portion of the value of a voucher will be forfeited. No Payment Fee applies.
If there's a remaining balance, you must pay this on jetstar.com or the Jetstar app with another voucher, gift card, POLi or by credit, debit or charge card. Jetstar voucher, Jetstar Gift Card, POLi and payments using Jetstar credit cards issued in Australia are fee-free, however a Payment Fee will apply to credit, debit and charge cards.
Jetstar voucher payments can’t be split with POLi on the Jetstar app or the Jetstar mobile website.
Jetstar Gift Card
You can use Jetstar Gift Cards to make purchases at jetstar.com up to the initial or remaining Card value. No Payment Fee applies.
To make a purchase for an amount exceeding the Card value or the remaining Card value; you must pay the balance on jetstar.com with another Gift Card, voucher, POLi or by credit, debit or charge card. Jetstar voucher, Jetstar Gift Card, POLi and payments using Jetstar credit cards issued in Australia are fee-free, however a Payment Fee will apply to credit card, debit and charge cards.
Jetstar Gift Card payments can’t be split with POLi on the Jetstar app or the Jetstar mobile website.
No change will be given for any remaining Card value, however the value can be used in whole or part for future purchases until the Card expires.
If you choose to pay with PayPal, you'll be redirected to the PayPal website. A Payment Fee will apply.
When you pay via direct debit using POLi from eligible Australian banks, your payment details will be automatically entered into the relevant fields once you log into your online banking account. No Payment Fee applies for POLi payments on jetstar.com, the Jetstar mobile website or the Jetstar app.
On all Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights you’ll need a credit card to buy food and drink on board, or you can pre-purchase meals, snacks or an In-Flight Meal Deal.
