The following terms and conditions apply to the Plus Protect and Max Protect products sold by Jetstar Japan (GK) included as part of the Plus and Max bundles.

Article 1 (General Rules)

When there is a cancellation or delay on a Jetstar Japan (GK) operated domestic flight, passengers who have purchased a Plus or Max bundle are entitled to a Payment as part of their Plus Protect or Max Protect product inclusion in their fare type.

Article 2 (Conditions of the Payment)

Eligible passengers will receive JPY 10,000 in the case of Starter fare with a Plus bundle and JPY 20,000 in the case of Starter fare with a Max bundle per flight. The payout is distributed once, per passenger, per flight.

  1. Passengers who have purchased a Plus or Max bundle are eligible to claim this Payment

    1. When there is a delay or cancellation of a Jetstar Japan (GK) operated domestic flight.

      • Please note: this excludes cancellations or suspensions of Jetstar Japan (GK) flights that are 12 hours or more in advance of the initially scheduled departure time.

    2. When a Jetstar Japan (GK) operated domestic flight is delayed for 6 hours or more from the initially scheduled departure time. Multiple delays are counted as one. In the case that the flight is delayed 6 hours or more and then cancelled, the information provided in point 1 applies.

      • Please note: this excludes delays of Jetstar Japan (GK) flights that are 12 hours or more in advance of the initially scheduled departure time.

    3. When a Jetstar Japan (GK) operated domestic flight is diverted and terminated at a non-scheduled destination port.

      • Please note: this excludes diversion of Jetstar Japan (GK) flights where notification of schedule change is advised 12 hours or more before original scheduled departure time.

  2. If a passenger who experiences a cancellation or delay chooses to refund their flight booking, they are not eligible for the Plus Protect or Max Protect Payment.

Article 3 (Claim of Special Payment)

  1. In order to claim the Plus Protect or Max Protect Payment, eligible passengers should inform Prestige International Inc., of their claim within 30 days of the date of the flight cancellation or delay.

  2. The passenger needs to submit the documentation (below) within 30 days of the date of the flight cancellation or delay. Jetstar Japan (GK) reserves the right to request further documentation from customers if required.

Article 4 (Where Plus Protect and or Max Protect Payment will not be made)

  1. In the case of intentional act or gross negligence or legal violation by the passenger or related person.

  2. In the case of suicide, criminal activity or violence by the passenger or related person.

  3. In the case of earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami or other natural disaster (Please note that volcanic ash fall in Mt. Sakurajima or Mt. Aso is eligible to claim the Payment).

  4. In the case of war, revolution, civil unrest, political overthrows, civil war, armed rebellion or similar incident, insurgency, or terrorism.

  5. In the case of an accident caused by nuclear fuel substances or radiation, explosives, or other characteristics contaminated by nuclear fuel substances.

  6. In the case of ongoing risk or confusion caused by an incident in section 4 or 5.

Article 5 (Payment of Plus Protect or Max Protect Claim)

In the case that the claim submitted by the passenger is approved, the Plus Protect or Max Protect Payment is distributed to the passenger under the following conditions.

  1. The special Payment is made to the bank account nominated by the passenger up to three months after the month when the claim document was received.

  2. In the case that the Payment cannot be made to the nominated bank account due to the death of the passenger or other reasons, the Payment is made to another bank account based on a submitted document from the person who has inherited the estate of the passenger.

  3. In principle, the claim of Plus Protect and Max Protect shall be limited to the passenger. In the case that the passenger’s consent is proved in the document, the Payment can be accepted by a representative of the passenger.
