Use your Qantas Points with Jetstar

When it comes to using Qantas Points for Jetstar bookings, you have two choices.

Points Plus Pay

With Points Plus Pay3, you can book on jetstar.com using only Qantas Points or a mix of points and cash. You can use Points Plus Pay for all available flights leaving from Australia or New Zealand (except for flights to or from Vietnam, including connecting flights). Use Points Plus Pay for any part of your booking, including extras. Points Plus Pay doesn’t incur a payment fee, so any part of your jetstar.com booking redeemed in points will be payment-fee free. If your entire booking is made with Qantas Points, there will be no payment fee. To book Jetstar flights with Points Plus Pay:
  1. Select your flights and extras
  2. Locate the Points Plus Pay slider on the payments page
  3. Sign in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account to choose your mix of cash and points.
You can also use Points Plus Pay to book eligible Jetstar flights via qantas.com.

Classic Flight Rewards (qantas.com and Qantas app)

You can use Qantas Points to book Classic Flight Rewards on Jetstar flights via qantas.com or the Qantas App. These are typically the best value reward seats you can book with Qantas Points, but availability is limited.
Simply look for the red Reward ribbon when searching for ‘Reward flights’. Classic Flight Rewards for Jetstar flights start from as little as 5,700 Qantas Points, plus taxes, fees and carrier charges4. Learn more about Classic Flight Rewards

Earn Qantas Points

Include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number when you book eligible Jetstar fares and your Qantas Points and Status Credits will be credited to your account within 6 weeks of travel. If you forget to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer number at the time of booking, you can contact us to add it before your flight departs.

Claim missing points

If you’ve already travelled and your Qantas Frequent Flyer number wasn’t attached to your booking, you can claim your missing points in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Keep your boarding pass handy to enter your flight details!

Qantas Points and Status Credits

When you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you can earn Qantas Points and Status Credits on eligible Jetstar fares.

Earn more with the Status Bonus

The higher your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership tier above entry-level Bronze, the more Qantas Points you earn on eligible Jetstar fares with the Status Bonus.
  • Silver members – earn 50% more Qantas Points
  • Gold members – earn 75% more Qantas Points
  • Platinum and Platinum One members – earn 100% more Qantas Points

Minimum Points Guarantee

You'll earn at least 800 Qantas Points with the Minimum Points Guarantee on eligible Jetstar fares. On Jetstar New Zealand domestic, you’ll earn a minimum of 400 Qantas Points. Check the Qantas and Jetstar Airline Earning Tables for detailed information about Qantas Points and Status Credit earn rates.

Qantas Points and Status Credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. 3 Points Plus Pay – Flights are available on any flight with a Qantas or Jetstar flight number, where there is a seat available for sale. The Qantas Points required include taxes, fees and carrier charges (except any local airport fees or charges collected at the time of check-in), are subject to change and are quoted at the time of booking. Points Plus Pay – Flights allows you to choose the number of Qantas Points you redeem above a specified minimum level and pay for the remainder of the fare. A minimum of 5000 points per booking on Qantas must be redeemed for any Points Plus Pay – Flight. There is no minimum points redemption for bookings made on jetstar.com. 4 Classic Flight Reward seats are subject to capacity controls, availability is limited and some flights may not have any Classic Flight Reward seats available. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable in addition to the Qantas Points required, are subject to change and are quoted at the time of booking.
