What cherry blossom season in Okinawa really looks like
Experience the first of Japan's cherry blossom season, in one of the most beautiful areas.

- November 2018
Okinawa, the southernmost prefecture of Japan is a chain of islands teeming with nature. Due to it's southern location, it’s also the first part of Japan that the cherry blossoms flower. Meaning rather than waiting until March/April, you’re able to experience the phenomenon even earlier.
With the cherry blossoms in the prefecture originating from Taiwan and China, Okinawa offers a really unique experience. If you’re lucky there’s even a good chance you’ll see the Japanese White Eye bird darting around the blossom. Check out the blossoming periods from this year and start planning for next.
