These terms and conditions of use ('Terms') govern your use of the Jetstar Trips application ('Jetstar Trips App'). Your use of the Jetstar Trips App will mean you accept these Terms.

Subject to these Terms, the Jetstar Trips App is available for download by customers who have the applicable smart phone, access to the relevant app store and the internet via their smart phone. The Jetstar Trips App is not a guaranteed service. Not all functionality that is available on the Jetstar Trips App is available in relation to flights from all airports. Jetstar does not warrant or represent that all travel service updates listed in the Jetstar Trips App will be notified to customers. The service may be affected by a range of factors including technical problems and telecommunications network coverage and availability. Users whose smart phone memory is full may not receive messages from the Jetstar Trips App. We recommend that passengers check their flight details and, unless Jetstar advises otherwise, arrive at the airport at the advised time prior to scheduled departure.

The Jetstar Trips App will only work for customers with valid confirmed bookings on Jetstar operated flights.

The Jetstar Trips App may not operate for flights booked through another airline, even if the flight is operated by Jetstar (for example, codeshare services) or where Jetstar has transferred you to the other airline.


By retrieving a booking through the Jetstar Trips App, you acknowledge and agree that you may receive operational push notifications from Jetstar in relation to that booking at any time. You have the option to turn these messages off in your phone’s notification permissions settings.

The notifications that may be sent will vary according to the device you are using:

iOS App: You may receive the following notifications:

  • Flight delays;
  • Flight cancellations;
  • Check-in alert – which informs you when check-in opens;
  • Gate alert – which informs you of the gate number for your flight.

Android App: You may receive the following notifications:

  • Flight delays;
  • Flight cancellations;
  • Check-in alert – which informs you when check-in opens;
  • Gate alert – which informs you of the gate number for your flight.

In order to be able to receive Jetstar Trips App messages you must ensure that your smart phone is switched on, connected to the internet, and notification permissions are enabled to receive Jetstar Trips App messages.

My Account

When you download the Jetstar Trips App, you will be asked to log in using your Jetstar My Account details. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by visiting the MyAccount page on the Jetstar website.

You must be logged into the Jetstar Trips app to access any of its features because the app accesses flight booking information from your My Account. You can log out at any time; however, you will not receive flight notifications or be able to access your flight information (in the app) until you log in again.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Jetstar Trips App is protected by copyright. You may use it for your personal and non-commercial purposes. Except to the extent permitted by relevant copyright legislation, you must not use, copy, modify, transmit, store, publish or distribute the material, or create any other material using material from the Jetstar Trips App, without the prior written consent of Jetstar. Trade marks (whether registered or unregistered) and logos must not be used or modified in any way without the prior written consent of Jetstar. The material, products, technology and processes contained in the Jetstar Trips App may also be the subject of other intellectual property rights owned by Jetstar or by third parties. No licence is granted in respect of those intellectual property rights other than as set out in these Terms of Use.

External Sites

The Jetstar Trips App may contain links to, or frame, web sites of third parties ('external sites'). Jetstar is not required to maintain or update the links. Links to, or framing of, external sites should not be construed as any endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by Jetstar of the owners or operators of the external sites, or for any information, products or services referred to on the external sites unless expressly indicated on this web site. Jetstar makes no warranties and accepts no liability in relation to material contained on external sites.


When you access your Jetstar My Account and Club Jetstar membership information, a secure server is used. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypts the information you send through this app. Jetstar does not control SSL and cannot guarantee the strength or effectiveness of that encryption.

Location Information

If you have first provided permission through your device, Jetstar may collect and store pinpointed physical location information from technologies like GPS, Wi-Fi or mobile tower locations. You can withdraw your consent to the use of location data at any time through the settings of your mobile device.

The products, services and offers promoted within the Jetstar Trips App are directed and available to and for the benefit of Australian resident Jetstar Frequent Flyer members only. For this reason, before you act on the information provided, you should consider whether the content is appropriate to you based on where you currently reside.

Privacy and Data storage

The Jetstar Trips App will collect and store your flight bookings, preferences for flight deals and other personal information (including location information as described above) in order to assist us to improve the Jetstar Trips App and to provide you with a better and more customised experience whenever you use the Jetstar Trips App again. The Jetstar Trips App requests your phone to transmit that data back to our web-server. You can re-set the Jetstar Trips App to remove any stored data. Note that if you reset the Jetstar Trips App, all information stored on your device about previous browsing might be lost. We use the information we collect to improve our services; to provide you with more relevant content and services; and for customer and market research purposes. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Certain statutory warranties under consumer protection laws will be implied for the benefit of consumers. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict the application of such laws but Jetstar does not give any guarantee or warranties or make any representation of any kind, express or implied, with respect to use of the Jetstar Trips App.

Subject to applicable consumer protection laws:

  • Jetstar is not liable to you or anyone else (including for negligence, breach of contract or tort) for any loss or damage (including specific, indirect, consequential or economic loss) however caused and which is suffered directly or indirectly in connection with the use of the Jetstar Trips App;
  • Jetstar is not liable for disruptions to the Jetstar Trips App service; and
  • Jetstar is not liable to you or anyone else if interference with or damage to your phone or computer systems occurs in connection with use of the Jetstar Trips App, a Jetstar website or an external site. You must take your own precautions to ensure that whatever you select for use is free of viruses or anything else that may interfere with or damage the operation of your computer systems.
