When you’re searching online for flights, if you find an Eligible Comparable Fare (defined below) with another airline on another airline’s website that’s cheaper than you can get on jetstar.com, we’ll beat it by 10%. We’d prefer you to book and fly with us!

Terms and Conditions

We'll beat all prices that meet our criteria!

It must be a Comparable Fare:
  • sold by another airline – comparisons cannot be made between Jetstar airlines or codeshare flights operated by Jetstar airlines; and
  • meet the Eligible Comparable Fare criteria.
For a Comparable Fare to meet the Eligible Comparable Fare criteria, it must be:
  • scheduled to depart at least 7 days from when you apply for the Price Beat Guarantee discount.
  • available for online purchase by the general public on the operating airline’s website at a price (inclusive of all additional mandatory fees, surcharges and taxes, excluding non-mandatory fees such as credit card fees) which is lower than the Jetstar Comparable Fare on Jetstar.com (defined below);
  • the website must be in English or in Japanese where the Jetstar Comparable Fare is a Jetstar Japan fare;
  • a direct, one-way flight that departs and arrives at identical airports to the Jetstar Comparable Fare;
  • scheduled to depart within the Eligible Timeframe, defined as:
    • +/- 90 minutes of the Jetstar Comparable Fare for Domestic Australia, Domestic New Zealand, Domestic Japan and flights between Australia & New Zealand;
    • +/- 90 minutes of the Jetstar Comparable Fare for International flights solely within Asia; or
    • +/- 6 hours of the Jetstar Comparable Fare for International flights (excluding flights between Australia & New Zealand or international flights solely within Asia).
  • Must be available for purchase at the cheaper price for at least the same number of passengers you are intending to book for and cannot be a membership or frequent flyer fare or have any promotional/discount code applied to it. It must also not be free of cost or a taxes/third party charges only fare.
  • the flight is priced in a currency of the departing country, unless listed below:
    • Philippines, flights can be priced in Philippine Pesos (PHP) or US Dollars (USD).
    • Vietnam, flights can be priced in Vietnamese Dong (VND) or US Dollars (USD).
    • Fiji, flights can be priced in Fijian Dollars (FJD) or Australian Dollars (AUD).
The Jetstar Comparable Fare must be:
  • an Economy Starter fare on Jetstar.com that is direct and one-way and more expensive (inclusive of all additional mandatory fees, surcharges and taxes, excluding non-mandatory fees such as credit card fees) than an Eligible Comparable Fare. The Price Beat Guarantee cannot be applied to any other fare or bundle types other than Starter Fares.
  • The closest available scheduled Jetstar departure to the Eligible Comparable Fare where multiple Jetstar flights are scheduled to depart during the Eligible Timeframe;
  • Operated and sold by Jetstar Airways (JQ) or Jetstar Japan (GK) and available for purchase on Jetstar.com.
Your claim is ineligible if:
  • the Comparable Fare price you request us to Price Beat is not the price available on the other airline’s official website or is not available for booking online;
  • the Comparable Fare price is lower as a result of an error by the other airline's website
  • Jetstar is unable to reasonably verify the Comparable Fare price;
  • The Comparable Fare price is lower due to fares not including mandatory fees, surcharges and taxes; or
  • Your Price Beat Guarantee request is in breach of our Fair Use Policy or Jetstar website Terms of Use.
Fair Use Policy
We're committed to making sure our passengers can make the most of our Price Beat Guarantee, so we've introduced a Fair Use Policy to ensure that passengers are not disadvantaged when others use it unreasonably. It's intended to avoid exploitation of the Price Beat Guarantee for commercial purposes, and to ensure that it isn't used in an excessive or unfair way. That way, more passengers can continue to benefit from it. We will offer the Price Beat Guarantee on new flight bookings only up to a maximum of 10 passengers per booking. We may decline to make a Price Beat Guarantee booking (including declining any future requests) under the Fair Use Policy if we consider usage of the Price Beat Guarantee to be unreasonable or excessive.  We may also cancel bookings made which utilise the Price Beat Guarantee that we suspect, acting reasonably, to have been made for commercial or fraudulent purposes. Some examples of unreasonable use include, but are not limited to:
  • commercially exploiting the Price Beat Guarantee by reselling fares,
  • providing fraudulent, misleading or incomplete information as part of your Price Beat Guarantee request; and
  • using the Price Beat Guarantee to make duplicate bookings.
