A castle city surrounded by natural splendour

Kumamoto is a culture-filled city of gardens, museums and superb nearby natural attractions. At its heart lies it emblematic castle, the city's pride that's one of Japan's finest. On its doorstep is dramatic Aso-san volcano, amazing Amakusa Islands, and must-visit Kurokawa Onsen.
