Jetstar credit vouchers for bookings impacted by COVID-19
Have you received a credit voucher for a booking impacted by COVID-19?
Good news! Not only have we improved our credit vouchers so they're more flexible, helping you deal with uncertainty about your future travel plans, but we’re also giving you more time to use your voucher.
Voucher expiry date extended
Jetstar Airways (JQ) and Jetstar Asia (3K) credit vouchers due to expire between 01 June 2021 and 09 March 2022 have a new expiry date of 31 December 2022.
You won't receive a new voucher, but your current credit voucher has been updated in our system and you will have received an email confirming this by now. (This is an automated process; please do not contact Customer Care.)
New vouchers issued for Jetstar Airways (JQ) and Jetstar Asia (3K) flights impacted by COVID-19 from 17 March 2021 will be valid for 18 months.
Jetstar Japan (GK) vouchers are being re-issued on a weekly basis and extended by a further six months. This process applies for vouchers expiring from September 2020 and will continue based on ongoing assessments of the impact of COVID-19.
Please refer to our travel alerts page for further information, or read on for answers to any other questions you may have about credit vouchers.
How do I redeem my credit voucher?
You can redeem the value listed on your voucher when booking Jetstar flights or making changes/adding extras to an existing Jetstar booking.
If booking on jetstar.com, you will need to enter your voucher number on the ‘Review and pay’ screen. Simply choose ‘Use a voucher or gift card’ as your payment method and enter your voucher number in the space provided. If you have saved your voucher to your My Wallet, it will automatically appear on the payment page of your booking (you must be logged in to My Account when making the booking). Learn more about saving vouchers to My Wallet here.
If booking through the Jetstar Contact Centre, please tell them your voucher number.
You can use more than one voucher on the same booking (if you have multiple vouchers).
I’ve lost my voucher/didn’t receive my voucher/where can I find my voucher details? If you need these details urgently, simply provide your booking reference and the email address you used for your original booking to Ask Jess, our virtual assistant, who will then retrieve your voucher details for you right away.
Can I make a booking for someone else with my voucher?
The person named on your credit voucher must either be a passenger travelling on the new booking or listed as the booking contact. If you’d like to use your voucher to make a booking for someone else, just add their name as the passenger, and add your details as the booking contact on the ‘Passenger and contact details’ page when you book on jetstar.com.
What should I do if my voucher is in the wrong name?
Your voucher should be created in the same name as the booking contact on your original booking.
If, when your voucher arrives, it has the wrong name, this is probably because you made your booking through a travel agent or third-party website, and their name is in the contact field. You will still be able to use this voucher by placing that name as the ‘contact’ on your new booking. Or you can contact us, and we will be happy to re-issue the voucher for you.
Can I use my voucher on more than one booking?
Yes, you can. Any new and existing unused travel vouchers issued due to the impact of COVID-19 by Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK), have become multi-use vouchers.
By multi-use, we mean that the vouchers can be used across multiple bookings. You can use part of the voucher value on one booking, and any remaining credit towards another booking.
Not sure how much credit you’ve got left on your voucher? Check your remaining voucher value on the voucher balance portal opens in new window.
Not all Jetstar credit vouchers are multi-use. If you received a credit voucher for a reason not related to COVID-19, please check the full Terms and Conditions on your voucher.

I requested a credit voucher – when can I expect to receive it?
