Travelling to and from China

As you get ready for your Jetstar flight to or from China, we need you to provide some extra information, which we are required to pass on to the Chinese authorities. You will need to provide us with the following information:
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality - as written on passport
  • Passport number
  • Passport expiry date
We will send an email and an SMS in the week leading up to your flight, to remind you to fill in these details.

How to add the extra information to your booking

To enter these extra details, use your booking reference and surname to log in to Manage booking. Open the ‘Check passenger details’ tab and fill in your details. Remember:
  • You need to fill out this information for all passengers on your booking, so have their passport information handy.
  • Make sure the information you provide matches the details on the relevant passenger’s passport.
  • We will send you a reminder email and SMS to the email address and phone number provided by the booking contact.

Visas

A visa may be required to enter China depending on your passport. You can learn more about visas and when they're required on The People's Republic of China website.

Testing

From 30 August 2023, passengers entering China will no longer need to complete a COVID-19 test prior to travel.

Entry/exit health declaration and customs

To enter China, you will need to complete a mandatory health and customs declaration form before you arrive. Once completed, you will need to present the QR code you were provided before departure.
