We are extending the time you have to book with your Jetstar Airways COVID voucher*, which means you can book flights indefinitely.
You can book using your current voucher until 31 December 2023. If you don't use the voucher by 31 December 2023, you can contact us at any time after your voucher expires and we will issue you a new voucher.
You don’t need to take any action until after 31 December 2023 if your voucher expires. Please note, we will not be able to renew your voucher before 31 December 2023. If you haven’t used your current voucher by 31 December 2023, you can contact us for a new voucher from 1 Jan 2024.
* ‘COVID Voucher’ refers to all Jetstar Airways vouchers that have an expiry date of 31 December 2023 (which will be extended on request).

How do I redeem my credit voucher?
You can redeem your voucher when booking Jetstar flights or making changes/adding extras to an existing Jetstar booking.
If booking on jetstar.com, you will need to enter your voucher number on the ‘Review and pay’ screen. Simply choose ‘Use a voucher or gift card’ as your payment method and enter your voucher number in the space provided.
If booking through the Jetstar Contact Centre, please tell them your voucher number.
You can use more than one voucher on the same booking (if you have multiple vouchers).
Can I make a booking for someone else with my voucher?
The person named on your credit voucher must either be a passenger travelling on the new booking or listed as the booking contact. If you’d like to use your voucher to make a booking for someone else, just add their name as the passenger, and add your details as the booking contact on the ‘Passenger and contact details’ page when you book on jetstar.com.
What should I do if my voucher is in the wrong name?
Your voucher should be created in the same name as the booking contact on your original booking.
If, when your voucher arrives, it has the wrong name, this is probably because you made your booking through a travel agent or third-party website, and their name is in the contact field. You will still be able to use this voucher by placing that name as the ‘contact’ on your new booking. Or you can contact us and we will be happy to re-issue the voucher for you.
Can I use my voucher on more than one booking?
Yes, you can. Any new and existing unused travel vouchers issued due to the impact of COVID-19 by Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK), have become multi-use vouchers.
By multi-use, we mean that the vouchers can be used across multiple bookings. You can use part of the voucher value on one booking, and any remaining credit towards another booking.
Not sure how much credit you’ve got left on your voucher? Check your remaining voucher value on the voucher balance portal opens in new window.
If you received a credit voucher for a reason not related to COVID-19, please check the full Terms and Conditions on your voucher.
Can you extend my voucher?
Vouchers issued due to COVID-19 by Jetstar Airways (JQ), due to expire on 31 December 2023, can be extended indefinitely from 1 Jan 2024.
For vouchers issued due to COVID-19 by Jetstar Asia (3K), we previously extended the expiry dates for vouchers issued due to COVID-19 to 31 December 2023 to allow you more time to book.
Our flights are generally made available around 12 months in advance, so you’ll will have even longer before you need to travel.
If you booked through a travel agent or third-party websites (e.g. Flight Centre) you will need to contact them directly for assistance.
How can I check my balance and expiry date?
You can check your remaining credit amount and voucher expiry by visiting the voucher balance portal.
Can I book accommodation with my credit voucher?
You can book hotels on the Jetstar website using your credit voucher, but only if there is a flight in the same booking. Our Holiday Packages (flight + hotel) can also be booked with your voucher via www.jetstar.com/holidays opens in new window
I requested a credit voucher – when can I expect to receive it?
We do everything we can to process credit voucher requests as quickly as possible. Depending on the number we are processing at any given time, there may be a slight delay. But you can be confident you will receive yours soon.
